The Brazilian company was born in 2016, but has already achieved awards and an exponential growth in the photovoltaic solar energy sector.

After all, what makes a company be considered as a great place to work?

Although the answers may vary, some good management practices contribute to generating this perception. Increasingly, tangible aspects such as wages and benefits are considered basic elements, and not differentials. According to the global consulting firm Great Place to Work (GPTW), the difference lies in offering a complete value proposition for professionals.

GPTW prepares an annual ranking, which lists the companies considered a “great place to work” by the employees themselves. The analysis points to five relevant dimensions for employee satisfaction: credibility, respect, impartiality, pride, and camaraderie.

Due to the repercussion of these rankings, many managers use the GPTW to direct their internal marketing actions and impact the organizational culture. In fact, one of the processes most favored by GPTW is the attraction of new talents, who see in the seal a guarantee of a good choice.

Something interesting can be noticed in the ranking of companies that have already won the seal: the presence of several startups and new companies. Most of these companies are known for a more informal management style, fast growth, and challenging environment. So, even with constant changes in organizational culture and processes that are not always clear, these entrepreneurs have great achievements to celebrate, including GPTW.

An example of this is the company from Paraná, Bonö Fotovoltaico, founded in 2016 in the city of Londrina by four young entrepreneurs, who saw in solar energy the opportunity to meet the growing demand in the sector. Today, the company is already considered the largest in Paraná and one of the largest in the country, and the most recent achievement was the GPTW seal.

“We reached this result through collective work, guided by a true appreciation of people, as they represent one of Bonö's strategic differentials”, explains the executive director, Vitor Ferrari.

After a rigorous evaluation that lasted 15 days, Bonö Fotovoltaico achieved a confidence index of 91, above average even among brands that have already won the seal. According to Joilson Stramandinoli, Human Resources coordinator, receiving the GPTW seal means that Bonö is on the right path.

“We know that in order to maintain this relationship of trust and satisfaction, we need to be continuously dialoguing with our employees, especially because we are expanding, and our team is growing rapidly. Achieving the GPTW seal shows that all employees are important agents of transformation, which motivates us to keep seeking continuous improvement.”

According to Bonö's commercial director, Marcelo Abuhamad, the GPTW seal helps attract talent, but it is necessary to maintain active communication to ensure that professionals, at different stages of their careers, find opportunities to grow.

“Today, for example, we have more than 60 job opportunities for new commercial consultants and several positions in the states of Paraná, Mato Grosso, Goiás, and the Federal District. The GPTW seal is like a positive benchmark for potential candidates, helping us to show how committed we are to providing a great work experience.”
